Spring Wild Food Walks - 20th January to 31st May 2025
The wild food of Spring cleans the body, raises the metabolism and wakes us up after the winter hibernation.
This is an identification walk, rather than a gathering of produce, teaching you how to identify the wild food of Spring to make salads, soups, pesto, teas, and herbal remedies.
You'll learn; 8-10 edible plants and their poisonous lookalikes; how to find them, gather them and prepare them for everyday cooking. The walk is only about a mile long with most of it spent standing still, looking at plants. Muddy footpaths in places.
Meeting in East Suffolk at a location to be given upon booking.
DATES & TIMES
Just email me with a few dates you'd like, weekdays or weekends, and a time that suits you. Others may join the walk. Allow 3 hours for the walk from start to finish.
COST
£15 per person, minimum 2 people per walk, payable by bank transfer in advance. If you need to cancel please give me as much notice as possible and we can rearrange but I can't offer refunds.
Seashore & Salt Estuary Wild Food Walks
SUFFOLK
1st June to September 2024
On the SEASHORE Wild Food Walk you'll learn the secrets of what's edible and what's medicinal along a shingle beach. Only a few hundred yards from the car park is a fascinating world of long forgotten wild magic.
On the SALT ESTUARY Wild Food Walk you'll learn what's edible and what's medicinal along a firm, dry footpath atop a sea wall beside an estuary near Woodbridge.
